SUZIE HISCOX

Artist Biography

A Calgary native, and former hairstylist, Suzie Hiscox has redefined herself as a painter and sculptor. Suzie paints primarily in oils and acrylics but has also worked with pastels, watercolor and inks. Her work is mostly realistic to representational and generally very colorful!

Suzie has taken many workshops from various respected artists from Canada and the US. and has attended art workshops in Mexico.

As an active member of both The Calgary Sketch Club and The Federation of Canadian Artists, her work can be viewed at art shows by these groups, as well as online at ‘Art In Canada”. She also displays some work at ‘Javino’ Calgary; ‘Braggs Korner Kitchen’ Bragg Creek ; ‘Badlands Gallery’ Drumheller; and ‘Driftwood Alley’ Foam Lake, Saskatchewan.

Artist Statement

“I am always trying to learn and grow as an artist and continue to try to improve my work. I love to paint pictures of the area I live in, the places I visit , and different animals, wild and domesticated! As a young person I was obsessed with horses and have owned 3 wonderful horses in the past!

“My objective is to create fun, affordable works of art that have meaning for and ‘speak to’ the art collector!”
